Laura's thyroid cancer treatment fund
Laura is facing thyroid cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Laura was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in August. The oncology team at Freiburg Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Laura is 38, worked as a bakery worker until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Freiburg Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.

• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $240
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,500
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,600
• Scans and lab work: $1,060

What exactly is the $9,400 for?
Sure. The biggest one is nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team, $240. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Fair thing to want to know.
