Laura can't leave home - help build a ramp
Help Laura regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇲🇽 Ciudad de México, Ciudad de México, Mexico336 views
Laura has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Laura can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Laura's family will cook lunch for the team.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

- one weekend

sending good thoughts, Raúl. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Thinking of Ciudad de México.
Sending strength, Raúl. Your post was clear and honest. After 25 years in customer support I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from New York.
Thinking of you. I hope things turn around soon. Sent it to 21 people at work. God bless
