Prince was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair in August. The surgeon at Accra General Hospital recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and He is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,200, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $850 short. my father has been in and out of Accra General Hospital since August. The doctors say a cleft palate needing repair will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,200 is more than we can find. While we wait, Prince struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Recovery is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Prince won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing. I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section. Where the $850 goes: • Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $370 • Hospital stay (3 nights): $220 • Pre-operative tests and imaging: $80 • Post-operative medication: $25 • Physiotherapy sessions: $90 • Travel and lodging for the family: $65 I hope life is good to you.

Wishing you the best, Kwasi. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Put this on a community board in Mansoura this morning. God bless.
