Laparoscopic endometriosis surgery for Paula: covering what insurance won't

In November I was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $12,250, and after what my employer's plan will pay, I'm still $6,100 short.
