Johan was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in August. The surgeon at Saint Catherine Hospital recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and He is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $8,000, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $6,000 short.
my husband has been in and out of Saint Catherine Hospital since August. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $8,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Johan struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Johan won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
