Laparoscopic endometriosis surgery for James: covering what insurance won't
James needs laparoscopic endometriosis surgery at Tallahassee Regional Medical Center and the family is $7,500 short of the hospital's estimate.

James was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in July. The surgeon at Tallahassee Regional Medical Center recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and He is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $12,500, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $7,500 short.
my son has been in and out of Tallahassee Regional Medical Center since July. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $12,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, James struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time James won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $7,500 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $3,200
• Hospital stay (5 nights): $2,400
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $470
• Post-operative medication: $280
• Physiotherapy sessions: $800
• Travel and lodging for the family: $350
