Laparoscopic endometriosis surgery for Ghassan: covering what insurance won't
After an aortic valve defect, Ghassan was cleared for laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Ghassan was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect in June. The surgeon at Saint Mary Hospital recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and He is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $6,000, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $2,950 short.
my father has been in and out of Saint Mary Hospital since June. The doctors say an aortic valve defect will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $6,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Ghassan struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Ghassan won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
