Laparoscopic endometriosis surgery for Étienne: covering what insurance won't
A scheduled laparoscopic endometriosis surgery in September is out of reach without help covering $4,900 of the cost.

Étienne was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the right knee in July. The surgeon at Lille Orthopedic Institute recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and He is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $9,750, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $4,900 short.
my son has been in and out of Lille Orthopedic Institute since July. The doctors say osteoarthritis in the right knee will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $9,750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Étienne struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Étienne won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
