Jadwiga was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly in June. The surgeon at Saint Luke Hospital recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and She is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $4,650, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $3,250 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Saint Luke Hospital since June. The doctors say a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $4,650 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Jadwiga struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Jadwiga won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
