Faith was diagnosed with a hernia that has become strangulated in November. The surgeon at Los Angeles Community Hospital recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and She is scheduled for January. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $4,500, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $3,600 short.
my mother has been in and out of Los Angeles Community Hospital since November. The doctors say a hernia that has become strangulated will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $4,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Faith struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Faith won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
