The landslide hit the Riverside settlement on 10 August. My home was one of 15 damaged, and 9 families are still in temporary shelter at a mosque and church hall. The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming. Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before. We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy. Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters. Where the $650 goes: • Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $195 • Clean water and purification supplies: $185 • Tools and labor for repairs: $270 Thanks for reading all this. - Noel

  • Take care, Noel. Shared it with a few friends. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.

    • Sending love, Noel. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.

      • Sending good thoughts. Gave what I could, wish it was more. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Quezon City.
