Landslide in Naivasha: help the Riverside district rebuild
The landslide damaged 61 homes in the Riverside district. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The landslide hit the Riverside district on 19 June. My home was one of 61 damaged, and 5 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $780
• Clean water and purification supplies: $70
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $190
• Food parcels for displaced families: $110
• Tools and labor for repairs: $350
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

So sorry you're going through this. This could happen to any of us. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Take care.
Hope you get there. Greetings from Birmingham
