Landslide in Maringá: help the Lakeview district rebuild
After the landslide, families in the Lakeview district need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.

The landslide hit the Lakeview district on 31 July. My home was one of 71 damaged, and 13 families are still in temporary shelter at a mosque and church hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $2,300 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $1,050
• Clean water and purification supplies: $175
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $260
• Food parcels for displaced families: $270
• Tools and labor for repairs: $545
Thanks for being kind about this.

So sorry you're going through this, Luana. This could happen to any of us. Greetings from Cầu Giấy.
So sorry you're going through this, Luana. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Take care
