Howrah
The landslide hit Orchard village on 1 September. My home was one of 34 damaged, and 13 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym. The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming. Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before. We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy. We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates. Where the $500 goes: • Food parcels for displaced families: $260 • Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $130 • Clean water and purification supplies: $110 If you're reading this, thank you. - Padma

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Padma.

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. food parcels for displaced families comes first ($260) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Appreciate you taking the time.
