Landslide in Depok: help the Northside district rebuild
After the landslide, families in the Northside district need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.
🇮🇩 Depok, West Java, Indonesia978 views
The landslide hit the Northside district on 14 September. My home was one of 77 damaged, and 5 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $700 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $250
• Clean water and purification supplies: $115
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $65
• Food parcels for displaced families: $95
• Tools and labor for repairs: $175
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Sending strength, Novi. More neighborhoods should do this. Greetings from Gangnam.
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I'll check back for the next update. Thinking of Depok.
Hope you get there. After 14 years in retail I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings
