Landslide in Bahir Dar: help the Northside neighborhood rebuild
Neighbors in the Northside neighborhood are rebuilding after the landslide; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.
🇪🇹 Bahir Dar, Amhara, Ethiopia1,031 views
The landslide hit the Northside neighborhood on 15 July. My home was one of 14 damaged, and 8 families are still in temporary shelter at the community hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $700 goes:
• Food parcels for displaced families: $190
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $150
• Roofing sheets and timber: $360
Thanks for reading all this.

is there anything that isn't money that would help Kaleb?
Thinking of you and your family. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. God bless.
