Suranga can't leave home - help build a ramp
Suranga uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.

Suranga has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Suranga can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Suranga's family will cook lunch for the team.

I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. After 24 years in customer support I know how hard it is to ask for anything. Thinking of Jaffna!
