Kwame's ACL reconstruction can't wait - please help us cover the bill
After a large ovarian cyst, Kwame was cleared for ACL reconstruction, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Kwame was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in July. The surgeon at Tema Orthopedic Institute recommended ACL reconstruction, and He is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $250, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $150 short.
my son has been in and out of Tema Orthopedic Institute since July. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Kwame struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Kwame won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $150 goes:
• Post-operative medication: $50
• Physiotherapy sessions: $60
• Travel and lodging for the family: $40
With deep gratitude,
