In May I was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections. My surgeon at Istanbul General Hospital recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and I have been placed on the schedule for August. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $2,250, and after what our health plan will pay, I'm still $1,700 short. I work as a taxi driver, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $2,250 is far beyond what I've.
