Krishnan needs my tuk-tuk repaired to get back to work in Udaipur

Without my tuk-tuk Krishnan can't work; a $300 repair would put him back on the road.

I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 3 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $300. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $300 goes: • transmission replacement (parts): $195 • Labor charges: $40 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $30 • Towing and inspection: $35 With deep gratitude, Krishnan

Updates from Krishnan

  1. Update from Udaipur: I made the first payment toward road tax and insurance renewal. We're at 58% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 52% now ($155). I'm honestly stunned. we've booked the dates and paid the deposit.
