Komal was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in April. The oncology team at the Mumbai Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in June. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Komal is 32, worked as a nurse until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Mumbai Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
