Wilfredo was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in August. The surgeon at Lapu-Lapu University Hospital recommended knee replacement surgery, and He is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,500, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,200 short.
my father has been in and out of Lapu-Lapu University Hospital since August. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without knee replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Wilfredo struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Wilfredo won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
