Knee replacement surgery for Usman: covering what insurance won't
Usman needs knee replacement surgery at Lahore Orthopedic Institute and the family is $550 short of the hospital's estimate.

Usman was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in August. The surgeon at Lahore Orthopedic Institute recommended knee replacement surgery, and He is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,100, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $550 short.
my son has been in and out of Lahore Orthopedic Institute since August. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without knee replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,100 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Usman struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Usman won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $550 goes:
• Hospital stay (4 nights): $410
• Physiotherapy sessions: $80
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $60
Thank you so much.
