Hằng was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in June. The surgeon at Houston Community Hospital recommended knee replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $5,750, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $4,100 short.
my wife has been in and out of Houston Community Hospital since June. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without knee replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $5,750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Hằng struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Hằng won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
