Kittisak needs a lift to the Phuket Kidney Centre - can you help one day a week?

A rota of drivers to the Phuket Kidney Centre would keep Kittisak on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Kittisak has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to the Phuket Kidney Centre alone. After an eyesight problem, Kittisak can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 31 km each way. Kittisak is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

  • Rooting for you. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. I hope December is when things finally get easier.

    • Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Put this on a community board in Port Harcourt this morning. God bless

Wishing you peace, Darunee. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 9 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything. All the best
