Kingsley needs a cochlear implant processor upgrade - help us make it happen
A cochlear implant processor upgrade would give Kingsley independence - we're $750 away.
🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria1,229 views
Kingsley lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at Lagos General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $750.
His current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment Kingsley could speak with the people around him. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $750 goes:
• cochlear implant processor upgrade: $610
• Fitting and training sessions: $55
• Delivery and set-up: $10
• First-year servicing plan: $75
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
