In August I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. My oncology team at Liverpool Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in November. I was told to expect about 5 weeks away from work. I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 38, I worked as a bus conductor until August, and I have been the main earner for my household. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Liverpool Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly. My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $5,950 goes: • Scans and lab work: $800 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $570 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,100 • Transport to Liverpool Regional Medical Center: $480 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Kimberly
