Kimberly needs a lift to the Spanish Town Dialysis Unit - can you help one day a week?

A rota of drivers to the Spanish Town Dialysis Unit would keep Kimberly on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Spanish Town
Kimberly has been on dialysis for 2 years and until recently drove to the Spanish Town Dialysis Unit alone. After surgery on their hand, Kimberly can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 19 km each way. Kimberly is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Wish I lived closer to Chicago so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Spanish Town.

    • Hope things get better soon, Ivy. Hope you get there. My neighbor in Chennai donated after I showed her your page

      • Hope things get better soon, Ivy. Hope the doctors have good news. Put this on a community board in London this morning. All the best
