Kimani needs my delivery van repaired to get back to work in Kikuyu
Kimani drives for a living in Kikuyu, and a broken transmission has stopped all income for 3 weeks.

I make my living with my delivery van. 3 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $300. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $300 goes:
• transmission replacement (parts): $175
• Labor charges: $65
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $50
• Towing and inspection: $10
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

You're not alone. I hope things turn around soon. I hope February is when things finally get easier.
so sorry you're going through this, Kimani. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My husband and I read this together. All the best.
Sending strength. Shared it with a few friends. My neighbor in Dwarka donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of Kikuyu.
