Kim was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in May. The oncology team at Hồ Chí Minh City Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Kim is 38, worked as a bakery worker until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Hồ Chí Minh City Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
