Kiên can't leave home - help build a ramp

Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Hồ Chí Minh City.

Kiên has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Kiên can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Kiên's family will cook lunch for the team. Thank you for reading my story.

hope this works out for you. I have a 12 year old who wants to send good wishes too.

        • Stay strong, Anh. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.

          • Take care, Anh. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't give up. Take care.
