Khadija's gallbladder removal can't wait - please help us cover the bill
After gallstones with repeated infections, Khadija was cleared for gallbladder removal, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Khadija was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in December. The surgeon at Manchester Regional Medical Center recommended gallbladder removal, and She is scheduled for April. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $6,500, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $4,850 short.
my mother has been in and out of Manchester Regional Medical Center since December. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $6,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Khadija struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Khadija won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $4,850 goes:
• Post-operative medication: $260
• Hospital stay (4 nights): $1,850
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $2,100
• Physiotherapy sessions: $640
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Take care, Yasir. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier
