Kelly's spinal decompression surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
A scheduled spinal decompression surgery in August is out of reach without help covering $2,850 of the cost.

Kelly was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in June. The surgeon at Belo Horizonte Regional Medical Center recommended spinal decompression surgery, and She is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $4,050, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $2,850 short.
my wife has been in and out of Belo Horizonte Regional Medical Center since June. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without spinal decompression surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $4,050 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Kelly struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Kelly won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $2,850 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $1,200
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $1,200
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $95
• Post-operative medication: $45
• Physiotherapy sessions: $220
• Travel and lodging for the family: $90

Stay strong, Murilo. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
