The water account is 3 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless I pay $750. I have never been late before a reduction in hours. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $65 first, which I don't have. I live with two young children, and going through summer without water isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by. I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here. Where the $750 goes: • Gas arrears: $320 • Reconnection and late fees: $160 • Down payment on a payment plan: $270 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • Hang in there, Dolores. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Blessings.

    • everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. It's not much but it's yours. All the best

      • You're not alone, Dolores. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best.

        • It takes guts to ask. Well done. After 13 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything. All the best

          • Hope it all works out. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Thinking of Austin.

            • good luck, Dolores. I hope things turn around soon. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. God bless.
