Keep the water on at Ayumi's home in Tokyo
A disconnection notice for water arrived and Ayumi needs $600 before September.

The water account is 3 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on September unless I pay $600. I have never been late before losing my job in May.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $100 first, which I don't have.
I live with two young children, and going through summer without water isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Ayumi's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.

• Electricity arrears: $320
• Reconnection and late fees: $120
• Down payment on a payment plan: $160

It's all in the list in the story. electricity arrears is the big one at $320, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Good question.
