Keep the heating on at Peter's home in Machakos
A disconnection notice for heating arrived and Peter needs $200 before April.

The heating account is 4 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on April unless I pay $200. I have never been late before my partner leaving the household.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $25 first, which I don't have.
I live with a newborn, and going through winter without heating isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Peter's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.
Where the $200 goes:
• Electricity arrears: $120
• Reconnection and late fees: $20
• Down payment on a payment plan: $60
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

This helper is honest and transparent about what they can do. They didn't overpromise, but they did deliver excellent results. I would definitely trust them again.

Hang in there, Peter. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Take care.
