The heating account is 2 months behind. Kai received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on August unless $800 is paid. He had never been late before an unexpected car repair.
Kai called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $85 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a newborn, and going through the rainy season without heating isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
Kai is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
