Keep the heating on at Githinji's home in Nairobi
Githinji is behind on heating bills after losing my job in July and needs $150 to avoid a shut-off.

The heating account is 4 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on October unless I pay $150. I have never been late before losing my job in July.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $30 first, which I don't have.
I live with two young children, and going through the rainy season without heating isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
