The heating account is 4 months behind. Fatema received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless $100 is paid. She had never been late before a reduction in hours. Fatema called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $15 first, which isn't available. The household includes a parent on oxygen therapy, and going through the rainy season without heating isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature. Fatema is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
