The heating account is 2 months behind. Divya received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on August unless $650 is paid. She had never been late before an unexpected car repair.
Divya called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $190 first, which isn't available.
The household includes three children under ten, and going through summer without heating isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
Divya is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
