Keep the heating on at Colton's home in Macon
Help Colton cover an overdue heating bill so the household stays safe this winter.

The heating account is 2 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on December unless I pay $850. I have never been late before an unexpected car repair.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $120 first, which I don't have.
I live with a disabled brother, and going through winter without heating isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Colton's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.
Where the $850 goes:
• Water arrears: $620
• Reconnection and late fees: $105
• Down payment on a payment plan: $125
With deep gratitude,
Colton

Wishing you peace. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Cleveland
Rooting for you, Colton. This could happen to any of us.
Wishing you peace, Colton. Your post was clear and honest
stay strong, Colton. It takes guts to ask. Well done. All the best.
so sorry you're going through this. Your post was clear and honest. Put this on a community board in Vancouver this morning. Thinking of Macon.
Take care. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Sent it to 32 people at work. Blessings.
