Keep the heating on at Bello's home in Port Harcourt
Help Bello cover an overdue heating bill so the household stays safe this summer.
🇳🇬 Rivers, Nigeria1,408 views
The heating account is 2 months behind. Bello received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on October unless $100 is paid. He had never been late before losing my job in August.
Bello called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $10 first, which isn't available.
The household includes three children under ten, and going through summer without heating isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
Bello is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $100 goes:
• Heating arrears: $55
• Reconnection and late fees: $20
• Down payment on a payment plan: $25
Thank you so much.
