Keep the heating on at Alok's home in Mumbai
Alok is behind on heating bills after an unexpected car repair and needs $100 to avoid a shut-off.

The heating account is 3 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on May unless I pay $100. I have never been late before an unexpected car repair.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $25 first, which I don't have.
I live with two young children, and going through summer without heating isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.

• Reconnection and late fees: $20
• Down payment on a payment plan: $15
