The gas account is 3 months behind. Yuki received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on September unless $650 is paid. She had never been late before a reduction in hours.
Yuki called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $55 first, which isn't available.
The household includes an elderly mother, and going through winter without gas isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
