Keep the gas on at Laurent's home in Paris
A disconnection notice for gas arrived and Laurent needs $550 before December.
🇫🇷 Paris, Île-de-France, France448 views
The gas account is 2 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on December unless I pay $550. I have never been late before an unexpected car repair.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $135 first, which I don't have.
I live with two young children, and going through winter without gas isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $550 goes:
• Electricity arrears: $400
• Reconnection and late fees: $50
• Down payment on a payment plan: $100
Thank you for reading my story.

Good luck. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Love from San Diego.
