The gas account is 2 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on June unless I pay $100. I have never been late before an unexpected car repair. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $20 first, which I don't have. I live with two young children, and going through winter without gas isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature. I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here. Where the $100 goes: • Gas arrears: $55 • Reconnection and late fees: $10 • Down payment on a payment plan: $35 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Asad
