The gas account is 2 months behind. Amparo received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless $750 is paid. She had never been late before losing my job in August.
Amparo called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $195 first, which isn't available.
The household includes three children under ten, and going through the rainy season without gas isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
Amparo is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
