The electricity account is 3 months behind. Tuğba received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless $150 is paid. She had never been late before August's medical emergency.
Tuğba called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $30 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a newborn, and going through the cold months without electricity isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by.
Tuğba is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
