Keep the electricity on at Ping's home in Geelong
Ping is behind on electricity bills after a reduction in hours and needs $700 to avoid a shut-off.

The electricity account is 2 months behind. Ping received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on January unless $700 is paid. She had never been late before a reduction in hours.
Ping called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $90 first, which isn't available.
The household includes an elderly mother, and going through the rainy season without electricity isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
Ping is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $700 goes:
• Gas arrears: $320
• Reconnection and late fees: $180
• Down payment on a payment plan: $200
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
