Keep the electricity on at Lanre's home in Port Harcourt
A disconnection notice for electricity arrived and Lanre needs $100 before May.

The electricity account is 3 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on May unless I pay $100. I have never been late before a reduction in hours.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $15 first, which I don't have.
I live with three children under ten, and going through winter without electricity isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $100 goes:
• Electricity arrears: $60
• Reconnection and late fees: $30
• Down payment on a payment plan: $10
I hope life is good to you.

Updates from Lanre
Thank you all. We're at 10% now ($10). I'm honestly stunned. we've started the first stage. - Lanre
Good news. Because of your gifts ($16 in total) we've started the first stage. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
